The Current Director of MOCA

 

2008-2016/07,石瑞仁 Jui-jen Shih

國立臺灣師範大學美術系、美國天普大學藝術史研究所碩士畢業,曾任北美術館展覽組組長及關渡美術館館長。2002年,他和幾位策展人發起「CO2灣前衛文件展」,引發討論話題並成功發掘年輕前衛藝術家;任職北美館展覽組組長時成功爭取在館內增闢「前衛與實驗空間」,展出前衛裝置、新媒體與複合媒材等。曾任當代藝術館館長,石瑞仁將善用其串連整合各種資源的長才,為當代館輻射出最大的藝術能量。

Shih received his B.A. from the Department of Fine Arts, National Taiwan Normal University, and his M.A. in Art History from Temple University, USA. He was Section Chief of the Exhibition Department at Taipei Fine Arts Museum, and Director of Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts. In 2002, he worked with several curators and launched CO2 Taiwan Avant-Garde Documenta, which successfully generated much discussion and discovered young avant-garde artists. During his term as Section Chief at the Exhibition Department of TFAM, he successfully persuaded the museum to add an "avant-garde and experimental space" in the museum for exhibitions of avant-garde, new media and mixed media installations. As the current Director of MOCA, Taipei, Shi excels in integrating all kinds of resources to maximize the artistic energy of the museum. 

 

2006-2007年,賴香伶 Hsiang-ling Lai

美國堪薩斯大學藝術史研究所碩士畢業,專長於美術史、博物館領域研究,曾任職台北市立美術館、帝門藝術教育基金會、國家文化藝術基金會等重要職務,並參與眾多藝術審查及評論工作,擁有豐富的藝術行政與營運管理經驗。2006年受邀擔任台北當代藝術館館長,致力促進當代藝術與社會的互動接觸,並廣泛與國際城市交流,推動藝術的跨領域發展。

Lai received her M.A. in Art History from the University of Kansas. She specializes in art history and museology. She has worked in important positions in Taipei Fine Arts Museum, Dimension Endowment of Art, and National Culture and Arts Foundation, and has been widely involved in the work of art review and criticism. She has abundant experiences in art administration and management. In 2006, she was invited to be the Director of MOCA, Taipei, and had dedicated her efforts in advancing the interaction between contemporary art and society as well as promoting international exchange between cities to enable interdisciplinary development of art.

 

2003-2005年,謝素貞 Su-chen Hsieh

英國倫敦大學哥德史密斯學院(Goldsmith College)策展與藝術行政碩士畢業,曾任高雄山美術館副館長一職。謝素貞女士於北京中央美術學院 (CAFA) 取得美術史博士候選人資格之時,應當代藝術基金會之邀回國接掌當代館副館長之職。在里昂‧巴洛希恩任期屆滿之後,基金會肯定其優秀的藝術管理及領導才能,一致通過謝素貞女士升任館長一職,期間積極聯繫國際館際間的互動交流,推動華人的當代藝術發展,以立足台灣、放眼國際為目標。

Hsieh obtained her M.A. in Art Administration and Curatorship from Goldsmith College, University of London. She was the Deputy Director of Mountain Arts Museum in Kaohsiung. While she was a PhD candidate of Art History at the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA), she was invited by the Contemporary Art Foundation to be the Deputy Director of MOCA, Taipei. After Director Paroissien's term ended, the Foundation unanimously agreed that Hsieh should be the next director given her excellent skills in art administration and leadership. During her terms, she was active in increasing international interaction and exchange between the museum and the international art scene. Through promoting the contemporary art of Chinese people, it was the goal to take root in Taiwan and envision the globe.

 

2001-2002年,里昂‧巴洛希恩 (Leon Paroissien)

在2001年擔任台北當代藝術館首任館長之前,里昂‧巴洛希恩創辦了澳洲文化協會視覺藝術委員會及雪梨當代美術館,曾經擔任聯合國國際博物館協會「現代美術館與典藏品執行委員會」委員、《視覺藝術與文化:國際當代藝術期刊》總編輯、澳洲國家博物館籌備處的設計整合與品質評審小組成員、奧林匹克運動會公共藝術諮詢委員會主席、雪梨雙年展總召集人、威尼斯雙年展及巴梨雙年展的澳洲代表委員等。

Before he was the founding director of MOCA, Taipei, Leon Paroissien was the founding director of the Visual Arts Board of the Australia Council and the founding director of MOCA, Sydney. He was a member of the International Committee for Museums and Collections of Modern Art, International Council of Museums (ICOM), Editor in Chief for Visual Arts and Culture: An International Journal of Contemporary Art, a team member of Design Integrity and Quality Review for the Construction of the National Museum of Australia, the Chair of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Co-ordination Authority Public Art Advisory Panel, the Director of Sydney Biennial, and the Australian Representative in both Venice Biennial and Paris Biennial.
