1. FUN 牛吃草@MOCA

為迎接牛年的到來,當代館於廣場規畫一系列以「牛」為主題的「FUN牛吃草@MOCA」活動,內容包括:創意工作坊、創意市集、戶外派對、大型雕塑展、徵件展等。於1月10日舉辦的「Happy New Year~ FUN牛迎春牛奶趴」,現場有熱歌勁舞、樂團LIVE演唱、以及由光泉牧場股份有限公司提供的「光泉乳品三選一」免費兌換活動。同時,館內則進行由藝術家楊中銘老師帶領的「FUN牛吃草創意工作坊」,邀請民眾親自動手將牛奶瓶改造為一隻隻活靈活現的牛。工作坊優秀作品,與「FUN牛吃草創意創意徵件展」的入選作品一同於當代館前的花圃上展覽。此外,當天的創意市集也以「牛」為主題,從攤位佈置到販售的創意商品,處處都看得到牛的影子,各攤位主還規劃許多有趣的DIY和闖關活動,活動參與人數達1,424人。

Year of the Ox@MOCA

To welcome the Year of the Ox, MOCA Taipei organized at the plaza a series of activities related to the ox, including: a creative workshop, a creative market, an outdoor party, a large-scale sculpture exhibition, and an open submission exhibition. “Happy New Year ~ Year of the Ox Party” was held on January 10 with a live band and dance performances, and the Kuang Chuan Diary free-exchange coupons event sponsored by the Kuang Chuan Diary company. Inside the museum building, artist Chung-Ming Yang led the “Year of the Ox Creative Workshop,” where he taught the public how to make an ox from a milk bottle. The most outstanding piece from the workshop was displayed together with the selected works from “Year of the Ox Open Submission Exhibition” at the museum’s parterre. The creative market also used the ox as its theme, shown in its decoration and merchandise. Market vendors also organized many activities and games of their own. Total attendees for this event: 1,424 people.

 

2. MOCA完美的一天攝影徵件

上午7點的MOCA是銀髮族們作早操的運動場,中午12點的MOCA是年輕人的充電站,晚間8點的MOCA是情人的浪漫加溫站,夜間12點的MOCA是小狗與小貓的遊樂園。愈來愈豐富美麗的當代館廣場,不分白天晚上,是每個人心目中絕不打烊的私房景點!當代館號召各路喜愛攝影的朋友們,立即發揮創意、按下快門,捕捉MOCA最完美的一天!

MOCA Perfect Day Photography Contest

The plaza of MOCA Taipei plays many roles throughout the day. In the morning it is a yard for the elderly to do their morning exercise routines; at noon it is a break area for adolescents; in the evening it is a romantic place for lovers to stroll; and at midnight it is a playground for cats and dogs. The rich and beautiful MOCA Plaza does not differentiate between day and night, remaining open twenty-four hours a day. The museum invited photography aficionados to use their imagination, press the camera’s shutter release button and capture MOCA Taipei’s perfect day.

 

3. MOCA三合一 = Music+Movie+Market

自2008年起策劃執行的延續性廣場活動「MOCA三合一」,今年持續於每週六推出結合音樂會、創意市集與電影播映的主題活動。假日廣場市集,將當代館打造為藝術與設計的交流平台,所有在此設攤的攤主,都是一日展覽的參展藝術家,在此與其他設計工作者及藝文觀眾交流。同時邀請獨立樂團LIVE演唱,深刻唱出屬於這世代最純真的聲音。晚上的露天電影院,則搭配館內展覽主題,精選非商業主流的獨立電影。本年度活動參與人次共24,009人。

MOCA 3-in-1 = Music+Movie+Market

Since 2008, the museum has organized in the plaza a periodic event known as “MOCA 3-in-1.” This year, “MOCA 3-in-1” is held every Saturday as a themed event, integrating music performances, creative markets, and film screenings. The weekend market in the plaza transforms the museum into an exchange platform of art and design. Every stallholder is a one-day exhibition artist who exchanges their works with other designers or the public. The event also invites independent bands to give live performances, demonstrating the purest voices of this generation. At night, the plaza is turned into an outdoor cinema; the screened films are of neither commercial nor mainstream nature, while usually complementing the theme of the museum’s exhibition. Total attendees for this event: 24,009 people.

 

4. 身體在這座城市中移動

入圍《第七屆台新台新藝術獎》表演藝術的編舞者周書毅,特別針對當代館的空間特色及氛圍,編了一支舞蹈「身體在這座城市中移動」,邀請入圍作品「看得見的城市,人-充滿空氣」參與舞者,在當代館的穿廊、電梯、窗邊、乃至戶外空間流竄,試著以自身的節奏、旋律與空間進行對話,與往來觀眾不期而遇。表演時間自5月9日起至5月24日止,每週六、日下午2:00-6:00,共演出九場,活動參與人數8,817人。

Body Which Moves in the City

Shu-Yi Chou, finalist of the “7th Annual Taishin Arts Awards” in the Performance Arts category, designed the dance “Body Which Moves in the City” according to the museum’s spatial characteristics and atmosphere. The artist invited the dancers of his selected work “Visible City, People Filled with Air” to scatter across the museum’s hallways, elevators, windows, and outdoor space. The dancers used their own rhythms to establish a dialogue with space, meeting the audience as they passed by. Performances were held every Saturday and Sunday from 2pm to 6pm. The exhibition lasted from May 9 to May 24, with a total of nine performances. Total attendees for this event: 8,817 people.

 

5. 台北愛樂歌劇坊─歌劇藝廊音樂會

為推廣本館多元的藝術文化展演、增進市民美學,特別邀請台北愛樂歌劇坊來到美術館當中,或於本館戶外廣場、或於館內活動大聽、視廳室等空間演出,讓歌劇以「藝廊音樂會」的方式呈現,帶給民眾一種有別於音樂廰的觀賞經驗,從而使歌劇更為貼近大眾生活。今年共演出五個場次,其中的歲末場《歌劇藝廊-蝙蝠》沙龍音樂會,更將2010年之新作提前於當代館演出,讓民眾一飽耳福。活動參與人次共計689人。

Taipei Philharmonic Opera Studio – Opera Art Gallery Concert

With the objective of promoting exhibitions of various art disciplines, and improve the aesthetic quality of the public, MOCA Taipei invited the Taipei Philharmonic Opera Studio to the museum. The artists performed in several locations within the museum’s premises, including the outdoor plaza, the activity hall, and the audiovisual room. The exhibition approach is similar to an “art gallery concert” where the audience can enjoy opera in a space other than the music hall, bringing the art closer to the public’s daily lives. A total of five performances were given this year. The last salon concert, “Opera Art Gallery – Bat,” was held at the end of the year in the museum, and the opera studio concluded by giving the audience a preview of performances to come in the following year. Total attendees for this event: 689 people.

 

6. 藝.棋.稻.茶

藝術家林銓居《生命的穀倉》展覽,在當代館廣場上栽植了二畦畦綠油油的稻田,隨著稻米在微風中搖曳生姿,當代館特別於饒富田園風光的週末午后,邀集各路玩棋藝手於6月14日至7月12日,每週日下午4:00-6:00,共赴一場「藝.棋.稻.茶」的悠然饗宴,看一場展覽、下一盤好棋、品一壺好茶,在廣場上感受自然繽紛的遊戲時光。本活動參與人次共815人。

Art, Chess, Rice, Tea

Artist Chuan-Chu Lin’s exhibition “The Barn of My Life” places in MOCA Plaza two plots of green paddy fields featuring rice that sways in the breeze. The museum took advantage of such memorable rural scenery under the sunlight on weekend afternoons and invited chess enthusiasts to participate in “Art, Chess, Rice, Tea.” From June 14 to July 12, every Sunday from 4pm to 6pm the museum invited the public to visit the exhibition, play a game of chess, brew a good cup of tea, and enjoy an entertaining and carefree time in the plaza. Total attendees for this event: 815 people.

 

 

7. 「無字不用」全民書法行動

書法文字,源遠流長,身處於「資訊氾濫-書寫式微」的時代中,應如何沿續書法的生命?配合《無中生有-書法.符號.空間》展覽,當代館特別於展覽「魔曆報」上設計了一方開放給全民共同參與的行動空間,只要提起毛筆,在指定區塊中寫下「無」字(字體不限),親繳或寄回當代館,就能拼貼於館內活動大廳牆面上的巨幅九宮格內,成為董陽孜老師書寫的「無」字的一部分!此項以實際行動支持書法的活動,獲得民眾廣泛熱烈的迴響,總計回收上千張「無」字,投稿者的年齡、職業與居住地,更是廣泛的分佈於各個層面,董陽孜老師屢屢造訪,皆會於此「無」字牆面前佇足良久,以感動的眼神與感謝的心,細細審視每一個字。

Composition of Nothingness – A Calligraphy Project

Calligraphy is a long-established artform that has been studied for centuries. People today live in an environment where there is an overload of information, and the practice of handwriting is in gradual decline. How does calligraphy persevere under these circumstances? Complementing the exhibition “X beyond O: Calligraphy – Sign – Space,” the museum designed a section in the MOCA e-paper and invited readers to pick up their brushes and write the Chinese character for “nothingness.” Participants were encouraged to send their work to the museum and have them displayed on the activity hall’s wall as a collage, thus becoming part of the “nothingness” written by calligrapher Yang-Tze Tong. The event actively promoted the practice of calligraphy and was very well received by the public. Over a thousand versions of “nothingness” were submitted by people of all ages, professions, and locations. Calligrapher Yang-Tze Tong frequently visited the wall of “nothingness,” standing there for a long time and contemplating each character with affection and appreciation.

 

8. 2009台北國際爵士音樂節-仲夏爵士悠遊音樂會

由台北市政府文化局與台北市國際爵士樂教育推廣協會共同主辦的「2009台北國際爵士音樂節」,於7月4日(星期六)晚上6:30-8:00假當代館廣場舉行,除了邀集國內外優秀爵士樂名家及團體共襄盛舉之外,並期盼藉由此活動讓爵士音樂與市民生活更為緊密結合。活動參與人次共786人。

2009 Taipei International Jazz Festival – Midsummer Jazz Promenade

“2009 Taipei International Jazz Festival” was the product of a collaboration between the Taipei City Government’s Department of Cultural Affairs and the Taipei International Jazz Education & Promotion Association. The event was held at MOCA Plaza on July 4 from 6:30pm to 8pm. Renowned international and local jazz bands and musicians joined the festival, hoping that it would bring jazz closer to urban life. Total attendees for this event: 815 people.

 

9. 父親節.拾穗趣

藝術家林銓居在當代館廣場上栽植的二畦稻田,陪伴著大家度過無數個艷陽高照、大雨傾盆的夏日。在稻穗結成了結實累累的稻穀之際,當代館與藝術家一同邀請民眾於8月15日下午4:00,帶著容器和一顆誠摯的心來到稻田旁,帶走一株株金黃的稻穗。現場同時邀請Colin Epstein先生(舞者、高空特技表演者、燈光設計師及新馬戲表演者)於稻田旁進行即興舞蹈表演。本活動參與人數共352人。

Father’s Day, Harvest Fun

Artist Chuan-Chu Lin placed two plots of paddy fields in MOCA Plaza, leaving them to spend the summer days with the people of the city. As the rice grains matured and became ready for harvesting, the artist and MOCA Taipei invited the public on October 15 at 4pm to gather the golden ears of rice and take them home. Also invited to the event was Collin Epstein – a dancer, aerial acrobat, lighting designer, and circus performer – who performed and danced by the paddy fields. Total attendees for this event: 352 people.

 

10. 2009 FU大同-大同美食MOCA吃透透

搭配大同區公所主辦之「2009 FU大同」活動,當代館特別集結大同區三大夜市-延三夜市、大龍夜市、寧夏夜市-的美食文化精華,自8月8日至8月29日,每周六晚上7:00假當代館廣場,進行夜市美食免費限量吃透透活動,參與人次共計721人。

2009 Feel Datong – MOCA Meets the Foods of Datong

Complementing Datong District Office’s “2009 Feel Datong” event, the museum assembled the essence of the food culture from the three largest night markets of Datong District: Yanping North Road Night Market, Dalong Street Night Market, and Ningxia Road Night Market. From August 8 to August 29, the museum offered through MOCA Plaza the delicacies from these night markets to the public free of charge every Saturday beginning at 7pm. Total attendees for this event: 721 people.

 

11. 「無盡‧無漏─心連心」賴純純愛心認養

賴純純個展《心.之間──存在與變化》展出期間,發生了台灣近年來最嚴重的88水災,為協助南台灣家園的重整,賴純純特別發起88水災祈福活動,只要憑捐款給受災區2萬元以上的收據,即可於8月31日祈福活動當天,至展覽現場認養一對「心」,總計捐贈出近百對作品,顯示出台灣人的團結力量。此外,活動現場還邀請了台東原住民歌手達鳳與魯碧清唱表演,純淨的歌聲為我們帶來希望與愛。

Inexhaustible, Impervious – Heart to Heart

Typhoon Morakot caused Taiwan’s most devastating natural disaster in recent years, and it happened to coincide with Jun T. Lai’s solo exhibition “Iteration – In Between.” To help with the reconstruction of southern Taiwan, the artist organized a fundraising event. On August 31, people who presented receipts for donations over 20,000 NTD to the typhoon victims were able to adopt a pair of “hearts.” Approximately a hundred pairs of artworks were donated, further demonstrating the unity of Taiwanese people. In addition, Taitung aboriginal singers Tafong and Rubi gave live performances during the event, bringing hope and love through their pure voices.

 

12. 神奇盒子環遊世界81天-盒外世界大不同

一個神秘黑盒子從奧地利的林茲出發,展開了環遊世界的奇秒旅程,只要將盒中視訊裝置完成,連上網路,就可以與林茲數位藝術中心即時現場連線,將世界各地的人文特色與熱門景緻傳送回奧地利。2009年7月28日至8月22日,盒子旅行停駐站來到了台灣,每日連線時間為週二~周日下午3:00 ~ 8:00,在當代館工作人員的「帶路」之下,走訪了台北當代術館、龍山寺與華西街、霞海城隍廟、迪化街、西門紅樓、中正紀念堂、有記茗茶、台灣大學Cosplay、台灣好基金會…等,透過箱子,看不見彼此海洋土地的眾限,只有美麗的笑容與活力十足的生命力滿溢出來。

Magic Box Goes Around the World in 81 Days – World Outside the Box

A mysterious black box started its amazing journey around the world from Linz, Austria. Through a video device installed within the box and an Internet connection, cultural characteristics and popular landmarks from countries around the world were sent back real-time to the Ars Electronica Center in Linz. The box visited Taiwan from July 28 to August 22. Between those dates, the box went online every Tuesday to Sunday from 3pm to 8pm and was “led” by the museum’s staff members to visit several places including: MOCA Taipei, Longshan Temple and Xihua Street, Xiahai City God Temple, Dihua Street Market, The Red House in Ximending, Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, Youji Mingcha Tea House, a cosplay event at National Taiwan University, and Lovely Taiwan Foundation. The box hides from the audience the geographical boundaries between places, displaying only the beautiful smiles and vigorous life of people the world over.

 

 

13. 「化身愛情藝術家」七夕情人節徵件活動

當代館的公民藝術之窗,每扇有24格,每一格可寫一個字,在情人節期間,募集24個字的甜言蜜語,讓有話想要大聲的對他/她說,卻愛在心裡口難開的民眾投稿,化身為一位愛情藝術家,透過當代館過一個跟往年不一樣的七夕情人節。本次活動參與人數36人。

“Become an Artist of Love” – Chinese Valentine’s Day Open Submission Event

Every window of MOCA Taipei’s Window of Citizen Art is divided into 24 sections, with each section having enough space to write one Chinese character. Around Valentine’s Day, the museum invited the public to submit 24-word love notes to their significant other. The museum wished to give a truly unique Valentine’s Day experience to the public, giving them an opportunity to openly express their affection and become artists of love. Total attendees for this event: 36 people.

 

14. 派樂地-以帽取人

「派樂地-以帽取人」活動發想來自於《派樂地》展覽主題視覺「帽子」,透過目前網路社群最受矚目的Facebook為媒介,在閉展前一週於網路發動實體活動,號召民眾於10月20日戴著各式各樣極富創意的帽子來館,即能免費參觀《派樂地》。本活動除了利用新興網路社群推廣展覽之外,更以分享創意無限的熱情,邀請民眾在生活中輕鬆簡單實踐派樂地精神。本活動參與人次約230人。

Parody – Wear Your Hat

The idea behind “Parody – Wear Your Hat” was inspired by the hat in the poster of the exhibition “The Simple Art of Parody.” The event was promoted one week before the end of the exhibition through the popular social networking website Facebook. On October 20, the museum granted free admission to everyone who wore a hat to the exhibition “The Simple Art of Parody.” The event not only utilized the popular social networking website to promote the exhibition, but also shared and invited the public to experience the creative parody spirit in their daily lives. Total attendees for this event: 230 people.

 

15. 派樂地生活節

延續《派樂地》展覽無所不在的派樂地精神,當代館與三立電視台合作,在展覽的最後一天10月24日14:00-21:00,於廣場上舉辦全民派樂地生活節,邀請深具派樂地性格的《王牌大賤諜》節目主持人黃國倫、梁赫群主持活動,集結地下樂團LIVE演唱、魚蹦興業Talk Show、DJ Show、黑膠唱片、「拼樂,LOVE」明星二手拍賣、派樂地創意市集等跨界表演形式,與大家一起用派樂地過生活。本活動參與人次2,150人。

Parody Life

MOCA Taipei collaborated with Sanlih E-Television to continue portraying the spirit of parody even after the conclusion of the exhibition “The Simple Art of Parody.” On the last day of the exhibition, October 24, the event “Parody Life” was held at MOCA Plaza from 2pm to 9pm. The event was conducted by Guo-Lun Huang and Vincent Liang, both renowned celebrities gifted with elements of parody and hosts of the TV variety show “SpyKing.” Parody Life invited the general public to live a life of parody while presenting activities and performances from various art disciplines, including live music from a band, a talk show, a DJ show, vinyl records, a celebrity second-hand auction, and a creative parody market. Total attendees for this event: 2,150 people.

 

16. 派樂地藝術家-經典作品惡搞徵件展

諧擬與惡搞的派樂地精神,是存在於每一個人的思維方式與日常生活中的,為了發掘大家骨子裡的創意,特別企劃「經典作品惡搞徵件展」,讓民眾可以將自己天馬行空的想像與創意,發揮在經典的藝術作品上,不管是惡搞經典或是向大師致敬,只要有話想說,誰都可以成為派樂地藝術家!本次活動參與人數約50人。

Parody Artists – Parody of Classic Art Contest

The spirit of parody is based on imitation and mockery, and is present in the thinking and daily life of each individual. In an effort to bring out the creative nature in everyone, MOCA Taipei planned the contest “Parody of Classic Art.” The museum invited the public to let loose their imagination and creativity, and apply them to works of classic art. The contest demonstrated that everyone can become a parody artist just as long as their works are created with a purpose – no matter whether it is the mockery of classic art or a tribute to the old masters. Total attendees for this event: 50 people.

 

17. 嗅覺突擊之地下香氛派對與味覺突擊之味蕾打游擊

《動漫美學雙年展─視覺突擊‧動漫特攻》展覽期間,不僅要震撼民眾的視覺,味覺和嗅覺也要一併突擊!在「嗅覺突擊」的部分,於當代館Facebook舉辦徵文活動,邀請大家寫下自己與香水間的小故事,共有30位網友分享,並有近五萬名粉絲共同參與此活動。而在「味覺突擊」部分,特別串連當代館週邊五間平價美食店,包括:日式料理、義式料理、精緻蛋糕、台式家常菜、及點心吧,邀請民眾以打游擊方式一一品嚐集章,聯繫當代館與社區間的共同發展。

Olfactory Attack & Gustatory Attack

During the exhibition “Animamix Biennial – Visual Attract & Attack,” the museum wished not only to stimulate the public visually, but also olfactorily and gustatorily. In the event “Olfactory Attack,” MOCA Taipei initiated through Facebook an event in which it invited the public to submit their personal experiences with perfumes. A total of 30 people shared their stories, and more than fifty thousand Facebook users took part in the event. As for “Gustatory Attack,” the museum collaborated with five neighboring restaurants of various styles, including: Japanese cuisine, Italian cuisine, a bakery, Taiwanese traditional home-made cuisine, and a snack bar. The event invited the public to sample delicacies from these restaurants, uniting the common development of the museum and the community.

 

18. 「風華大稻埕‧美麗新北口」文化踩街遊行

12月12日(六)下午南大同區(以前的大稻埕)舉辦「風華大稻埕‧美麗新北口~文化踩街」盛事,當代館身為串聯踩街的一員,除了動員本館館員與義工卯足全勁、熱情參與外,還與建成國中合作,邀請藝術家駐校指導,利用美術課和表演藝術課,帶領學生們創作新奇有趣的遊行道具,讓社區驚豔一下,共同踩出大同區的新未來。當日遊行路線由朝陽茶葉公園出發,沿重慶北路南行到圓環,右轉承德路,再左轉長安西路到當代館,遊行終點為全新落成的京站時尚廣場門口,一路走來,大同區的昔、今風華,盡收眼底。

Elegant Dadaocheng, Beautiful North Side – Cultural Parade

On the afternoon of December 12, the southern Datong District (previously known as Dadaocheng) held “Elegant Dadaocheng, Beautiful North Side.” MOCA Taipei participated in this event, and the museum’s staff members and volunteers also took part in the event’s parade. In collaboration with Jan Cheng Junior High, the museum invited artists to utilize the school’s art and performance art classes. The artists encouraged students to make ingenious and entertaining parade props, with the purpose of surprising the community and walking together towards the bright future of Datong District. The parade route started from Chaoyuan Tea Park, then continued southwards along Chongqing North Road until meeting the roundabout. A right turn was made on Chengde Road, and later a left onto Changan West Road where MOCA Taipei is located. The route ended at the entrance of the recently completed Q Square center. The event showed the public a complete view of the former and current elegance of Datong District.

 

19. 圈住新年的幸福—陶籤祈福活動

在12月26日《再‧之間-徐永旭個展》開幕當天,藝術家徐永旭以手工捏塑了上千個大小不一的小型陶圈及六百個陶籤,裝置於當代館廣場,邀請民眾在陶簽上寫下自己的新年希望,再以紅線繫掛在陶圈上,讓人們的希望成為展覽的一部分,並於卸展後開放民眾取回作為紀念,民眾的熱情參與,讓六百份希望伴著作品一同邁入新年。

Encircling the Blessings of the New Year – Ceramic Good Luck Charms

December 26 was the opening day of the exhibition “Iteration – In Between.” On the same day, the artist Yung-Hsu Hsu installed more than a thousand small hand-made ceramic sculptures, and six hundred ceramic good luck charms on MOCA Plaza. The artist invited the public to write their New Year wishes on the good luck charms and hang them on the ceramic sculptures with red threads. The wishes thus became part of the exhibition, and as the exhibition concluded the public took the charms home as souvenirs. The public’s enthusiastic participation allowed six hundred wishes to accompany the artist’s works into the New Year.
